TDL Endowment Fund

After much encouragement from supporters like you, we are excited to announce that the Trustees of the Library have established an endowment fund under the umbrella of the Lenawee Community Foundation. Our purpose in creating this fund is to grow an independent source of revenue to ensure the future of the library and its prosperity for the generations to come.

As a long time supporter of the library, you know how it felt when the existence of the library was in peril. Thanks to ardent supporters like you, we have grown our hours of operation, resources, services and outreach into the community. With generous gifts from a few individuals, we have been able to reach beyond our doors and beautify our grounds through the addition of the Ken Herrick Memorial Garden, a lovely outdoor reading area.

By establishing the Tecumseh District Library Endowment Fund, we are creating an opportunity for you and others to give to a permanent fund that will help us and future trustees maintain and enhance this important community treasure. Donations made to this fund will be invested permanently and only the interest utilized, when needed, to fund special projects and improvements that are beyond tax generated revenues. As this fund grows, so will the interest it earns.

Please commit again to supporting this important community treasure by donating to the Tecumseh District Library Endowment Fund. When you make a contribution to this fund, you may also take advantage of federal tax deductions, making the cost of your gift less than your original donation. By giving generously, you will help cement the future growth and prosperity of the library and secure its place in the community as an attractive and accessible resource for all.

Checks are to be made payable to the Lenawee Community Foundation with Tecumseh District Library Endowment Fund on the memo line. Donations may be dropped off at the library at 215 N. Ottawa St. in Tecumseh or mailed to Lenawee Community Foundation
