Morel Mushroom Hunting

Tuesday, February 21st | 6:30 – 8:00 PM

Join Anthony Williams to learn the tips and tricks of morel mushroom hunting in Michigan.

The Williams family has been picking morels in Michigan since the 1890s, and Anthony’s foraging advice is spot-on for everyone from curious novices to seasoned pros. After winning the National Morel Hunting Championship five years in a row, Anthony retired undefeated from competitive picking and went on to become the “Expert in Residence” for the National Morel Festival.

Poetry Open Mic

Third Thursdays | 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Join us as we celebrate poetry month with local poet Linda White, as she performers some of her poetry she has compiled over her life. Afterwards, we will open the floor for anyone who would like to share their own poetry (even if only a small piece!). Whether you are an aspiring poet or simply wish to stop by and listen, all are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the written word!

This event is held near the library fireplace every third Thursday of the month.
