Explore the intriguing tales of prison life, crime, corruption, colorful inmates, wardens, night-keepers and reforms with historian Judy Gail Krasnow, author of Jacktown.  Find out about solitary confinement and types of punishment meted out to those who dared to disobey.  Discover the past mini-city of factories and farms as Michigan’s First State Prison grew into the largest walled prison in the world. Learn about the 1952 and 1981 riots at the State Prison of Southern Michigan.
