Library Reopening Guidelines

We ask that you:

Wear a face mask.

Maintain a distance of 6 feet apart from patrons who are not in your family group.

Do not come into the building if you are ill or have been ill. Arrange for a lobby pickup of materials.

Return all items to the outside book drop, so that we may quarantine them.

Limit your library visit to picking up materials and checking out.

Computers are available and are spaced 6 ft apart. Please limit your computer time as we will have fewer computers available. Please let a staff member know when you are finished with the computer so it may be sanitized for the next person.

Please let a staff member know when you are finished with the fax machine or copiers, as well.

We will continue to provide lobby pickup for those who prefer not to come into the building; you must contact us to request lobby pickup.

We will continue to provide outreach services to those who need them.

Please call the library with any questions: 517-423-2238

Reopening in Stages

Tecumseh District Library is reopening in stages to best protect our patrons, their families, and our staff.

We moved to the Limited Library Opening stage on Monday, July 6.  Please follow the above Library Reopening Guidelines.

Our outdoor bookdrop opened on June 7, and the library building opened with restrictions on July 6. The fine grace period was extended until August 1. The library returned to regular summer hours on Monday, August 3.

All returns should go into the outdoor bookdrop. Returns to the outdoor bookdrop are no-contact and are available 24/7.  Returned items will be quarantined inside the library for 5 days before being checked in.

Thank you, Tecumseh, for your wonderful support and co-operation during this Covid situation. Our patrons are the best!
